Hu-Ku II: More Gems of O Wisdom

Obama-Cheney:
Thrilla-in-Manila II?
Patterson-Liston.
***
"Ghostwriter needed
by blowsy liberal pundit"
Someone's cry for help
***
Barry's pompous lines
put Hardball's leg a-quiver?
My thought: What a jerk!
***
Our cherished ideals:
the press's sacred duty
to propagate memes.

Why "social justice"?
Unequal audience share
elevating souls.

Hu-Ku: Poems of the O Dynasty

Our cosmos in the Reign of O, reflected in original 5-7-5's from the sharpened reed pen of The Postliberal.

What's waterboarding?
Compulsory exposure
to Barney Frank's mouth.
***
Make friends in Europe:
confess American crimes
defeating Nazis.
***
Rule of law, says He;
but Supreme Court Justices
should listen to NOW.
***
Making history:
first minority POTUS
up from ACORN roots.
***
Our cherished values:
every liberal's sacred right
to ridicule spine.
***
Now liberals oppose
flag desecration: they want
to wave the white one.

Who Knew? Dick Cheney Inspires Poetry

The Muses still live! A certain Jim Treacher has created the Cheneyku, Haiku in the persona of Dick Cheney. Sound unpromising? These were my favorites:

Look out, terrorists!
Obama's secret weapon:
Approval ratings
***
When you attacked me
I disclosed my position
All up in your face

Kudos to the bard!

Obama's Oscillationist Style

He was for releasing CIA interrogation photos before he was against it. He was against having military tribunals for Guantanamo detainees before he was for it. And he was against taxing employer-provided health-care benefits before he was open to it. Ready to try another position? Maybe this is why it's a called a Presidential Honeymoon.

Obama's team of communicators informs us almost daily that we're being led by a "pragmatist". Translation: he's so down-to-earth he's over our heads. But if the Ministry of Onomastics needs a pseudo-philosophical "ism" to dignify Obama's sketchy statesmanship, wouldn't oscillationism capture it better?
